March 8, 2024Pastor’s alleged car purchase scam exposed
March 11, 2024Adding to the mounting list of peanut butter products recalled due to unacceptable aflatoxin
levels, Clover has now pulled 10,776 units of its GoNuts Peanut Butter off shelves. This
latest recall follows last month’s removal of Pick n Pay’s 1kg No Name, various Dischem
Lifestyle, Wazoogles, Eat Naked, and Woolworths peanut butter dairy ice cream products.
Consumers are urged to stop consuming and return any Clover GoNuts 400g peanut butter
with best-before dates of June 12, 18, 2025 and July 19, 2025 for a full refund. The National
Consumer Commission warns that ingesting foods with higher than permitted aflatoxin levels
can lead to health issues like nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
As the peanut butter recall saga stretches into its second month, food safety authorities
continue their investigations into the cause of the widespread aflatoxin contamination.
Consumers are advised to check product details carefully and follow all recall notices.
