The Mthunzi O Muhle Group has partnered with the Thulamahashe Football Association to support referees in Bushbuckridge. A full set of new referee uniforms was donated during a ceremony at the Thulamahashe New Stadium on December 2nd.
Mthunzi O Muhle Group CEO Adam Sibuyi said, “The beautiful game with beautiful referees brings the communities together…everyone can enjoy playing and supporting football.”
The company sponsors the Mthunzi O Muhle Soccer League run by the local football association. Sibuyi stated he was a proud backer of the sport at all levels from grassroots to professional.
Thulamahashe Football Association spokesperson Jonathan Mathebula welcomed the continued cooperation. “Football is the heartbeat of Bushbuckridge,” he remarked, adding, “We can learn a lot from each other at all levels of the game.”
Manager Sihlangu of the referee’s association thanked the company for the shirt, shorts and sock sets. “Developing our referees’ professionalism and skills is vital, and these uniforms will be important,” Sihlangu said.
The donation represents an investment in local refereeing to maintain match standards. With quality uniforms and training, Bushbuckridge is hoping to produce referees who can ascend in the football world.
