Students Watch in Horror as Gunman Slays Driver

Police are searching for answers after a shocking murder in front of a minibus full of schoolchildren.

On Wednesday morning, 42-year-old driver Rudzani Rambani was fatally shot while picking up students in Mukula Village. “We heard gunshots and screaming,” said one traumatized learner. “Everyone was so scared.”

The gunman remains at large after fleeing into nearby bushes. Police found Rambani slumped over in the driver’s seat, with six bullet casings scattered around the vehicle. 

Authorities have opened a murder investigation but do not yet know the motive. “Criminals cannot be allowed to spread violence and fear like this,” stated Lt. Gen. Thembi Hadebe.

Hadebe urged residents to assist in the investigation however possible. “We must mobilize all resources to apprehend those responsible for this senseless attack,” she asserted.

The killing has left both students and locals shaken. As the search for the perpetrator continues, many wonder whether such shameless violence could happen again.
