The Hidden Burden of Living with Eczema
September 15, 2025Detectives are investigating a tragic shooting at Burgersfort Police Station in Limpopo, where two people were killed and another wounded in the early hours of yesterday morning.
According to Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, officers on duty heard gunshots coming from the station’s yard. On inspection, they found a 28-year-old woman with gunshot wounds lying near two vehicles. Nearby, her 31-year-old husband was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound, alongside a 39-year-old woman who had also been shot.
Paramedics were called to the scene and declared the 31-year-old man and the 39-year-old woman dead. The injured 28-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital, where she is receiving treatment.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased man and the injured woman were married, and it is suspected that he may have turned the gun on himself after the shooting. Police are also probing the circumstances surrounding the presence of the 39-year-old woman at the scene,” said Colonel Ledwaba.
A firearm, ammunition and spent cartridges were recovered. Police have opened cases of murder, attempted murder and an inquest.
Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has directed investigators to prioritise the case to establish the full circumstances.
Police investigations are continuing.
