Police Probe Two Separate Killings in Mpumalanga

The South African Police Service (SAPS) hosted a prestigious medal parade at Thulamahashe Stadium in the Ehlanzeni District to recognise the unwavering dedication and years of loyal service rendered by its members.
The event honoured officers who have devoted 10, 20 and 30 years to upholding law and order within the Mpumalanga province. Each recipient was acknowledged for their commitment, courage, and continued contribution to maintaining safety in their communities.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi, Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga; Major General Sekgobela, Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Policing; Major General Xaba, District Commissioner; and several Station Commanders from across the province. The ceremony was also attended by Ms Moroane, Mayor of Bushbuckridge Municipality, accompanied by her entourage.
During the ceremony, Major General (Dr) Mkhwanazi and other senior officials presented medals to the recipients, expressing heartfelt appreciation for their steadfast service.
“These medals are not just symbols of time served but of dedication, integrity and sacrifice,” he said. “Each officer honoured today represents the strength and resilience that keep our communities safe.”
The atmosphere at Thulamahashe Stadium was filled with pride as families and colleagues celebrated the honourees’ achievements, marking yet another milestone in the SAPS’s ongoing commitment to recognising excellence within its ranks.
