A 31-year-old suspect is expected to appear at the Delmas District Court today, for possession of allegedly stolen diesel.
When approaching the vehicle, it alleged that the suspects fled the scene using the mentioned vehicle. Law enforcement agencies from POLSEC came on board and assisted in cornering the vehicle.
It was during this period when the suspect, who is a Mozambican National was found with 420 litres of diesel. He was apprehended and charged after failing to give a reasonable explanation for the possession of the diesel which is presumably stolen.
His vehicle and the diesel filled inside plastic containers were taken.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has welcomed the arrest of the suspect.
