August 6, 2024MURDER INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED IN SUNDRA AFTER THE BODY OF A MAN (61) WAS FOUND INSIDE HIS VEHICLE
August 6, 2024In a move to celebrate the significant contributions of women to South Africa’s history, Macingwane Riding Academy is offering free basic motorbike training to women in Bushbuckridge. This initiative is set to kick off at the Mattafin Shell Petrol Garage in Mbombela on Thursday, August 8, at 12 PM. The event will start by welcoming the 24 Women on Motorbikes, a group journeying to Mozambique from various provinces including Gauteng, North West, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga.
The following day, on Friday, August 9, the academy will host a training and biker engagement session at Tennis (Inyaka Dam crossroad) from 9 AM to 2 PM. This program aims to introduce motorbiking to women of all ages from diverse backgrounds, providing them with the unique opportunity to learn about and engage in motorbiking firsthand. Participants will ride as pillion, experiencing the thrill of motorbiking while accompanied by seasoned female bikers.
Safety education, an essential component of the training, will be provided by Sun Riders, ensuring that all participants not only enjoy the experience but also understand the importance of safety on the road. Mr. Vincent Mchunu, the Academy Director, noted the low number of female bikers in Bushbuckridge and expressed his hope that this initiative would help to change that.
Spaces for this empowering event are limited, and interested participants are encouraged to RSVP by contacting Ms. Virgy Mchunu at 071 689 0282. Attendees are also advised to bring camp chairs to the training session, where refreshments will be served. This event offers a unique learning opportunity and serves as a platform for fostering community and encouraging more women to explore the world of motorbiking.
