Veteran cop cheats death in office crash

Veteran traffic officer Ben Mayinga had a brush with death when a truck driven by a license applicant crashed into his office on Monday. Mayinga narrowly avoided tragedy by leaving his office moments before the accident occurred.

“Mayinga must thank his Ancestors. Imagine what could have happened to him if he was in his office,” said an eyewitness according to   Rio-Jab Media.

The driving school truck allegedly crashed into Mayinga’s office, damaging the wall and furniture. However, Mayinga downplayed the severity of the incident. “This was a minor accident and only the pavement was damaged. I am sitting right in my office, and I am not dead yet as you would wish me to be. My office is still intact,”

Mayinga, a well-known soccer fan, has headed the Bushbuckridge Traffic Station for years after starting at Mhala Testing Station in the early 1990s. With a pension reportedly in the millions, his family would have been financially secure had this freak accident claimed his life.
