A well organised operation by the Vosman Detectives has seen twenty four suspects being arrested over the weekend.
The suspects were wanted for different crimes. A murder suspect was amongst the arrested suspects whilst two suspects were arrested for rape and other two were nabbed for other sexual related offences.
Six suspects were arrested for property related cases and two others were apprehended for tempering with essential infrastructure, two were arrested for theft, one was arrested for housebreaking and theft and one for malicious damage to property.
There were also two suspects that were arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. One suspect was arrested for common assault and contravention of a Protection Order, two for were arrested for common robbery and one was arrested for business robbery.
Two additional suspects were arrested for contempt of court.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela commended the Detective Branch for the arrest of suspects which will somehow have a positive impact on the reduction of crime and give closure to the victims.
