An accident occurred at the intersection of Graskop Road and Hazyview Road involving a truck loaded with bags of cement and a van.
The truck, traveling from Graskop Road, experienced brake failure and was unable to stop. It collided with the van, which was coming from Hazyview. The impact caused both vehicles to roll into the bushes.
A few minutes after falling, the truck caught fire. Emergency services responded promptly, rushing both drivers to the hospital. The van driver sustained severe injuries, while the truck driver suffered minor injuries.
The road has been cleared, and traffic is moving normally. Further investigation into the cause of the brake failure is underway.
