Three people were wounded during a business robbery at a tavern in Zwelisha, Pienaar, in the early hours of February 2.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, a group of unknown men stormed into the tavern around 01:00, attempting to rob the establishment.
“During the robbery, the suspects fired shots randomly, injuring three victims,” said Ndubane.
The injured individuals were rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. It remains unclear whether the suspects managed to steal anything, and investigations are ongoing.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
