Three suspects arrested for alleged stock theft

A 51-year-old suspect is due to appear in the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court on Monday 04 December, after allegedly raping a 31-year-old woman in Violetbank, Bushbuckridge, in the early hours of Friday morning, 01 December 2023.
According to information obtained, the victim was on her way home from a neighbourhood tavern. She alleged that she was walking on the R40 when the suspect came from behind and grabbed her, forced her into surrounding bushes and raped her. When the victim was freed by the suspect, she noticed a Toyota Quantum and called for help.
“The occupants never wasted time, but immediately chased and apprehended the suspect who was taken to the Police Station.” The suspect was then arrested and charged with rape hence his court appearance.
