President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in New York on Saturday to lead the South African delegation at the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and high-level meetings. Greeted by International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola and Ambassador Mathu Nompozolo, Ramaphosa is set to address the General Assembly on 24 September 2024.
This year’s summit will address global governance challenges, reaffirm the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and promote multilateral cooperation. Ramaphosa’s agenda includes international peace, the SDGs, climate change, and attracting foreign investment for South Africa
