Graskop Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Body Found at Berlin Waterfall
December 20, 2024Donald Sipho Khoza (41), who had been on the run since December 15, surrendered to the Nelspruit SAPS on December 18, according to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli.
Khoza had evaded capture during an earlier operation, engaging in a physical altercation with officers and seizing a service firearm, which was later recovered the same day. A warrant for his arrest had been issued on December 10 after he violated his parole. Khoza had been convicted of rape and murder prior to his parole breach.
“We are pleased to inform the public that the fugitive has been rearrested. He is now in custody at a correctional facility for further legal processing,” said Mdhluli.
Authorities are working to determine additional charges against Khoza, which may include robbery of a state firearm and related offences. Investigations are ongoing.
