More time is being begged by the parents of the initiates who enrolled their kids in conventional initiation schools. The traditional authority of Bushbuckridge local government is being pleaded with by all parents to grant them an extension of time until their children graduate from initiation schools. They claim that because grants are their primary source of income, it would be disastrous for graduations to occur before they receive their SASSA grandchildren.
They are petitioning with the traditional council to permit the Bushbuckridge local municipality’s initiation schools to hold their graduation ceremonies on August 9, 2024.A worried single mother from Bushbuckridge’s Mphenyatjatji hamlet claims that since she only depends on child assistance, any graduations that occur before they were paid will be disastrous for many other moms who share her situation. They are appealing with local chiefs, school administrators, and traditional councils to take their petition into consideration. No parent can be broke to attend their child’s graduation. All they ask is permission to let a few SASSA pay days to elapse before the commencement.
On the first weekend of August, most initiation schools in Mapulaneng are expected to graduate. The week after graduation, the recipients of the SASSA fellowships will get their awards. In order to accommodate the thousands of SASSA recipients whose children will be returning home, another grandmother from Moloro village in Acornhoek concurred that it will be ideal if the graduations take place following SASSA payments. They have to pay for initiation schools, buy food, and buy clothes. In Bushbuckridge, Koma is more widely observed than all other occasions combined.
