February 5, 2025The visit of Executive Mayor ML Moroane to Hlangalezwe Primary School on 5 February was a resounding success. She was accompanied by officials from the Office of the Premier, and together, they donated school uniforms to less fortunate learners.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Moroane emphasized that the donation was a gesture of appreciation for the learners’ commitment to education despite their challenging circumstances. She praised their dedication to learning and encouraged them to continue striving for success.
“This initiative is a way of recognizing and encouraging our learners who attend school despite difficulties,” said Mayor Moroane. She further promised to visit the school again in the future to donate more uniforms and to work towards improving school infrastructure for the benefit of the students.

The principal of Hlangalezwe Primary School expressed gratitude for the mayor’s visit and the donation, stating that it would boost the learners’ confidence and motivate them to attend school with pride.
“We are extremely grateful for this kind gesture. Many of our learners come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and this donation will make a huge difference. It will help them feel more confident and motivated throughout the 2025 academic year,” said the principal.
Hlangalezwe Primary School was not the first school the mayor visited. On 4 February, she was at Bushbuckridge Secondary School, where she also donated school uniforms to learners in need.

Her commitment to supporting education and uplifting students has been widely appreciated, and her promise to improve infrastructure has given hope to many schools in the region.
