Pastor, Three Others Arrested for Gold Crimes
February 24, 2025Mpumalanga police are investigating a murder case where two victims were shot and killed at Sheba Siding in Low’s Creek.
Provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, said the victims were killed on February 19 when two gunmen entered one of the victims’ homes in the afternoon.
“The two gunmen followed a 40-year-old man behind the house. Shortly after, gunshots were heard, and two men were seen holding firearms,” said Ndubane.
Another man inside the house responded by firing at the suspects before fleeing.
“A 47-year-old neighbor, who peered through her shack after hearing gunshots, was also shot and killed,” Ndubane added.
The gunmen fled the scene, and the man who had escaped later returned, only to find both victims dead.
Police recovered empty cartridges, live ammunition, and other evidence at the scene. No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown.

Mpumalanga’s acting police commissioner, Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi, condemned the killings and ordered officers to act swiftly in apprehending the suspects.
