Three Injured in Zwelisha Tavern Robbery
Three people were wounded during a business robbery at a tavern in Zwelisha, Pienaar, in the early hours of February 2.
nnnnAccording to provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, a group of unknown men stormed into the tavern around 01:00, attempting to rob the establishment.
nnnn“During the robbery, the suspects fired shots randomly, injuring three victims,” said Ndubane.
nnnnThe injured individuals were rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. It remains unclear whether the suspects managed to steal anything, and investigations are ongoing.
nnnnAs of now, no arrests have been made.
nnnnPolice are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Crime Stop at 08600 1011 or submit a tip via the My SAPS app.
