Ramaphosa to Announce Microsoft SA Investment
President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to deliver the keynote address on 06 March at the Microsoft South Africa investment announcement in Johannesburg.
nnnnThe event will take place at the Microsoft Campus in Bryanston.
nnnnAccording to the Presidency, Microsoft South Africa has played a key role in the country’s digital transformation for over three decades.
nnnnThe latest investment aims to strengthen South Africa’s position as a leading Artificial Intelligence hub in Africa.
nnnnMicrosoft’s announcement comes ahead of the South Africa Investment Conference scheduled for March 2025.
nnnnSince the first Investment Conference in 2018, South Africa has secured R1.14 trillion in investment commitments across various sectors, including mining, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, and the digital economy.
nnnnThe Presidency stated that Microsoft’s investment aligns with the government's efforts to drive inclusive economic growth and job creation in partnership with the private sector. It also supports South Africa’s G20 objectives in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation for Sustainable Development.
nnnnThe announcement will begin at 4 PM.
