The Bushbuckridge community is in mourning following the passing of Councillor and ANC Branch Secretary for Ward 3, Comrade Mohammed Male, on 28 January 2026 after a brief illness.
nnnnCde Male served his community with dedication, integrity and compassion, holding both the role of Branch Secretary and Ward Councillor in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality. Known for his calm nature and humility, he earned the respect of colleagues and residents alike, leaving a lasting legacy through his leadership and commitment to public service.
nnnnThe ANC in Ehlanzeni Region expressed its shock and sorrow, extending heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and comrades. “An uncompromised member of the movement of the people, Cde Male served with diligence and left a meaningful mark on the community,” the party said.
