I really need to know this history for it determines who I am. My grandfather left either Bush or Natividad in the late twenth century. His name was Cleopas Chiloane,he ran away and came to settle in Springs, married Grace Mashishi and they had 3boys and 3 girls and one of the boys was my father. Their children never knew where their father came from, my dad went to Matibidi when my baby brother was born. There he found a man whom they knew as their uncle (baby brother to their father) who was called Mmileng after whom my baby brother was then named (Knocking Amos Chiloane). My dad since passed away and no one made a follow up. I need to know where I come from. My dad was a proud Mopulane and like him I am. I since have been going to Matibidi to trace where my grandfather came from. I'm told that 2 brothers Malutaneng and Moletelwa (not sure of the names) left Bush to come settle in Matibidi. Malutaneng took 4 wives while the brother went the other side of the mountain to work at farms. We don't hear much of him. My theory is that my grandy came from Moletelwa or Malutaneng but maybe left them in Bush before they went to Matibidi. Can someone please help me in tracing my family. My contact is daisy.tshiloane@gmail.com. Thank you guys. I need to be part of whatever Mapulane get up to, I am part of you. We then can fight the economic independence together. I hear what chief Mohumi is saying, but chief one needs to be in right space and know who she is and where she comes from. Otherwise I love you.

Fortress Legole, the last statement you wrote, regarding king of Mapulana and also Matjie. During my researches i came across this contex which matches mine. All i want to know is, is there a book that is written which speak about the origin of Mapulana? If so, i will be pleased if one could send me name of the book, gladm321@gmail.com and will like to know more about Fortess Legole and ...work. I am not taking a side, but busy with my researches.

I have read the statements mentioned above by Mashego. Instead of crying foul about the extinction of Mapulana History. What is he doing as a researcher, writer, filmmaker and journalist to promote Sepulana and Pulana Heritage.

We have many intellectuals who are supposed to push teh agenda of Mapulana but they are nowhere to be found as Mbeki once said that academics and intellectuals are failing South Africa. They are failing Sepulana and Pulana Heritate at large.

The problem with Mapulana is that everyone who narrates history will try to make sure that history revolves around his lineage and clan. No one is brutally honest to state it, the way it is supposed to be.

Some of the pulana historians tells us that there are two kings. There has never been such. There was only one King and that is Seganyane Mashile who fled Lesotho in teh 17th century after it became eminent that Moshoeshoe forces were purging them. He fled with four of his nieces - Malele, Morale, Mashego and Nonyane. Hence re batau bana tau re setlhano meaning we are five children of a Lion (Segodi). Maatjie grew up in Lekoba's kraal.

The rest we will debate when we lodge Bana ba Tau Setlhano soon.
